Two uses, one tool

How to post a grid

Instagram shows the newest post first, in the top left. To make the big picture line up, post the slices in the order shown, starting with #1, so the last slice you post lands in the top left. Each post gets its own caption, and the picture only appears whole on your profile.

Slice sizes

SizeUse
1080 × 1350 (4:5)Portrait carousel slides, the most screen space in the feed
1080 × 1080 (1:1)Square carousel slides or a classic square grid
1080 × 1440 (3:4)Profile grid tiles, since Instagram has been showing profile thumbnails in a taller shape

Instagram changes how it crops feeds and profile grids. Check how your profile currently displays tiles before you post a large set.
